do i stand a chance?
by: NewKidI'm pretty new to the idea of Greek life and am considering rushing in fall, and wanted to know how hard is it to get a bid? I'm not looking to get into the top houses but more the middle to low houses. I'm a solid 5, a 7 if you've had a good pregame, but I'm a very social person and just generally a very involved person. What qualities do they care about other than looks?

Odds are high that top houses will drop you and honestly it’s a numbers game not really your individuality.
All the bottom houses will not be cutting so make the best of it. Decide now if you want any house (just to be Greek) or if you are only interested in the perfect fit. Don’t make an emotional decision or settle during recruitment

often times certain PNMs have an advantage because they know someone in the house or because the specific person they talk to clicks with them. Just go in with an open mind! Literally the rankings shouldn't matter, yes the bottom houses don't drop people really but I've heard they have the best sisterhoods and you'd probably deal with fake people a lot less. And also- don't believe anything you read on here. Just make opinions for yourself- some houses are hated on for no reason, and other houses that might have issues are not talked about on here. Honestly no potential new member should be poisoning their opinions on Greek Rank.
Qualities they care about- being into more than just partying. Wanting to be involved, get good grades, willing to participate in the house and in other ways. just be yourself and if you have a passion like music or baking don't be shy to bring it up! Every girl at recruitment is "nice" you gotta be more than that to get a bid (and most people are, so just show your true colors ) .
