by: ayquick reminder with pref coming up that when choosing a chapter, basing it off of rankings will end up with you in a house that you will not be comfortable in. Choose the house that makes you feel like you’re home. If that happens to be a “top” house, good for you. If it happens to be a “bottom” house, who cares. Whatever house you choose make sure it is a place where you feel like you can be yourself. Good luck ladies!

@please The process is about pnms actually. It is very rare for a pnm with an open mind to go through recruitment and not receive a bid. The people who you are saying “don’t find a home” are typically women who remove themselves from the process because they got their schedule and didn’t want to return to those chapters. If you don’t go in with an open mind, you will have a hard time finding a home. If you go in with an open mind and the ability to see past the misconceptions of “top houses”, you will find a place that you can call yours.

@gogreek It's actually less rare than you like to think. I know of at least a dozen girls (and even more last year) that maximized choices, have good grades, that were cut by every house before pref night. We can say it doesn't happen but it does. The process is NOT about pnm's until pref night. Let's just acknowledge that.

True, But there are dozens of girls who were cut altogther and didn't get a chance to make a choice tonight. It makes me sad. And before you think I'm a bitter PNM, I'm actually a junior in a top house lol

Good question! Why would they, if grades are strong, and choices were maximized? But many girls were cut before pref night. I'm a Rho Gam, I had to make some tough phone calls

I’m in this newest pc of a pretty strong middle tier house and I know we most certainly did not have 60 or even 50 women at bid night.

You’re obviously a PNM who dropped cause she thought she was too good for the houses she had left lmao. If you actually knew anything about the process you would know that preference is the only night that PNM’s have a say in which house they want to end up in
