They aren't popular for pnms during recruitment because their looks aren't on par with other houses, fraternities aren't jumping at the chance to have events with them, and overall they are just not as highly regarded which makes pnms want to drop them because no one wants to join a house knowing it's the absolute bottom of the well established sororities
