sorority recruitment and gpa cutoffs?
by: freshieHey I'm an incoming freshman at U of O and I was thinking about rushing. I was wondering how seriously the sororities take into account your high school gpa? I did really good my last two years of high school and have a fair amount of involvement and community service hours, but my first two years really dragged down my gpa :( Will my 3.0 gpa really effect my chances of getting bids?

If they really like you, they will look past your GPA (whichisn't even that low). Just go into rush and have a good time. If a sorority drops you because of something a superficial as a GPA (which in my opinion is none of their business)then you don't want to be a part of that shallow group anyway.
