im excited for rush!
by: 2020I am an incoming Freshman and think I'm gonna rush Alpha Phi and DG. What is everyones thoughts on them? I have heard from friends that they party with some of the top tier frats and there sisterhood is top notch. People think I am really pretty so the way I look at it is I can either join a nobody house and be one of the standouts and kind of carry the flag for everyone, or join a top house and i'll maybe not be the absolute most beautiful but at least i'll be surrounded by girls that will make me better everyday and challenge me.

stop being one of those girls who only cares about looks!!! join the house you feel most comfortable in and make the best connections with during rush... not everything is about looks and even if you join an "average" sorority doesn't mean you'll be carrying any flag. no one will like you in any house if you're a stuck up brat so try to focus on the important things like values and think of why you're even joining a house

Both have good social lives and are well liked by dudes and get hate from some bitter girls, but other than that they have very different vibes where phi definitely tries hard to come off as the chill "cool girl" type while DG is more stereotypical pretty girl. Both houses are super involved and have strong sisterhoods! But fair warning don't go through rush saying I'm only rushing these houses because you'll probably end up disappointed when one or both of them drop you, have a more open mind

Don't focus on just trying to rush Aphi and DG just because you think they are really popular, because most likely you are going to end up disappointed if you don't get into one of them. If you are a like able person it won't matter what sorority you are in frat guys will still like you lol.

They don't have to try to make phi and dg look bad, they can easily do that on their own

aphi and dg don't look bad. it's the opposite in fact and that is what's got you so worried about rush. .otherwise you wouldn't feel the need to be on here bashing them.

Thanks for the advice! I just feel like a lot of sororities base it on looks, are you telling me DG and APhi are the prettiest houses because they all get along really well and are good sisters?
