Ok but to be fair this actually happens most of the time with every house. I have friends who didn’t rush or who rushed a different house than Pi Phi, chi o, and kappa that this has happened to.

Kappa has been at the top for a long time, and this will likely continue. They truly get the pick of the campus every year. Bitter people love to hate on Kappa, but what they say isn’t true. Kappa has a great group of classy, smart, and involved girls. Truly the best.

Kappa is a mixed bag for me. Some of the girls are very smart and sweet, but others can be ingenuine. I’ve heard that they have very strict rules about social media posting and crafting a campus appearance. I think some girls find a good sisterhood there but others feel stifled due to all the rules and the emphasis on appearance. I see less of them at parties than I used to, so hopefully they figure things out soon

Kappa girls are hardworking yet know how to have fun. Sure some party and some don’t but either way they seem to balance life well. I was definitely intimidated by them at first but once you get to know them they are actually really good people who care a lot about their sisters. One girl described to me that to her kappa was like family. Yes sometimes there can sometimes be internal conflict but that’s because it’s real life and real relationships.

Kappa Kappa Gamma is, to put it bluntly, an institution focused on a compelling but artificial perfection the surface, and is toxic and mean beneath that plastic exterior. And you can see this in the way that the "sisterhood" affects the characters of its members during their time in the house. I myself didn't see until after recruitment. But of my friends who went Kappa, so many of them have changed for the worse and become shallow and narcissistic. It's really very sad to see, and I wish freshmen women could see it before they make the mistake of pledging to that house. If I had to give freshmen rushing one word of wisdom, I would urge them to ignore the appearance of the house, but look hard into the character and reputation of its members.

Kappa Kappa Gamma knows how to put on a good recruitment, but the image that they portray to the freshmen girls lacks authenticity. Although there are some individual Kappas that are very kind people, many of them (and their group as a whole) are petty, shallow, self-absorbed, and annoying. They seem to place more importance on status, image, and having a fun social life than actual values or philanthropy. Their lack of genuine sisterhood shows through the drama that often occurs within their own house, as well as their tendency to bash the other sororities. It's really a bummer because there are some great girls who join Kappa, and then are either disillusioned and unhappy once they see what the organization is really like, or you see a decline in their moral character because of the influence of their "sisters." The more experience I have interacting with Kappas, the more I feel like there's honestly nothing good to say about them.

The only people that actually like Kappas are freshmen who don't know any better. Fall pledge class was hella weird, they have some superiority complex that prevents them from connecting with other greeks and independents. Not bad as individuals but as a group they can get really toxic. They seem to have a lot of internal drama and clique issues within the house. Clearly declining.

Their recruitment strategies reveal a lot about them. When I was a freshman, they would comment on all my Instagram pictures telling me how I was perfect and beautiful and how they all want to be me. When I didn't join a house, the comments stopped and not a single one has reached out to me since. Talk about disingenuous! There are some really sweet girls in the house, but for the most part, joining Kappa just seems like an ego trip.
