PNMS: Please go into recruitment this weekend with an open mind because you truly will not know where home is for you until you get to know each sorority on a deeper level than their social media post. And don’t let others persuade your decision. Go with what YOU feel is right. Where ever you end up, you will be so happy on bid day running home to girls that share the same goals and values as you and are happy to have you run to them. Finding your home is the main goal of the weekend and finding where you belong. Remember that.

If anyone decides to go to a sorority just based off of popularity they’ll prob drop in a year because they won’t be happy because they went off of what others said to do instead of finding the right one for them. Don’t be that person.

Will the group leaders be able to tell us how many girls each sorority is allowed to take? Like If Im interested in two sororities just say KD (whose not as popular and I think may be smaller) and APHI (which Is more popular and larger)? Do all sororities take equal amount of girls?

Why are you so concerned about the amount of girls they can take? No one really knows how many each sorority can take. And "popularity" doesn't determine the amount of girls everyone gets. Just go in and be yourself, if it's meant to be you will receive a bid and find your home.

That was kinda rude to answer my questions above! But umm ok! All I was asking is the question that almost every girl in my group has asked but has yet to get a direct answer. It’s obvious the that a few sororities are more pulled together, larger, more popular and more sought after. My question was do simple, do they all take equal number of girls? My guess is no! And that would explain why the smaller sororities are allowed to do spring recruitment and the bigger ones aren’t.
And yes I will go and enjoy myself and hopefully find my home-

More advice to you PNMS to get you through this weekend...

1. If you do not connect with one girl in the Chapter she is just that, 1 girl. There are probably 20 more you will connect with.

2. A lot of stuff you hear during recruitment about chapters is JUST NOT TRUE! I even hear stuff about my own chapter that is just false.

3. If you don't like a group please do not be rude or unkind. Mind your manners.

4. When in doubt, don't drop out. I know a lot of girls who were shell-shocked after being cut or who became so upset after losing their early favorites who regretted making a rash decision.

5. Take the process all the way until the end. If you don't like the chapters you're preferencing go through the process- you might change your mind and you might not. You really have nothing to lose.
