sorority gpa requirements
by: SarahSo I will be doing FFR as a transfer student. The transfer GPA on the form is optional but I was told panhellenic will have access to my transfer GPA and will verify that I have over a 2.5 to rush. Will the individual sororities have access to my GPA if I don't put anything down? I have a 2.66 transfer GPA so I have the requirement but that is low so I do not want it to hurt my chances. Also, if I lie and put down a 2.8 will the individual sororities go back and verify my GPA or will they take my word for it? I was told that as long as you have the 2.5 the sororities do not look at anything they will just know panhellenic confirmed that you have over a 2.5. Can someone explain the whole GPA thing to me please.

You must have a 2.5 but the sororities do have their own minimum requirement. I know like 3 of the sororities require only a 2.5, the others I'm not so sure. Don't lie because each sorority looks up your gpa before you receive a bid and will not bring you back if you don't meet the requirement. I would still rush and see what your options are and on the last day if your not happy you can wait until you get your gpa up. Some sororities also do spring recruitment if you wanted to wait until you got your gpa up.

Do you know which sororities only require a 2.5? Do you know what the others require?
