sigma kappa

Alright, so.
I saw a post on here recently about SigKap and how they're been having problems with girls dropping and grades and participation and everything. And I as a non SigKap feel badly for these girls because of the way the Greek System here works. With girls being guaranteed a bid, the girls that would have normally gone Gamma Phi are being forced onto chapters that don't necessarily want them (maybe they aren't a good fit or just aren't that great of girls) and it's completely unfair. I know this has happened with AZD, DZ, XO, DG, SK, etc. Does anyone else here feel that they've experienced this or is it just me?

To "preach", I think the post was more how SK has no choice but to take some of the women that they pledge because of such a emphasis on quota. It's turning into a quota over quality. And to "xidelt" I couldn't agree more. It's so hard to watch some girls who feel they are entitled to a bid and don't represent anything or take advantage or ANYTHING their respective sorority has to offer. It's a shame we HAVE to share our ritual with some girls who give absolutely nothing back, but are here because of quota and they go to every round. Life isn't fair, sorority life isn't fair. If you don't live up to a particular sororities values why are you "garunteed" a bid if you maximize your options. It sounds harsh but it's agonizing to see girls who just plain don't care and make a mockery of sororities.
