The thing with DPhiE is that they’ve been too for YEARS. They used to focus on looks I would say and they stopped doing that a while back, focusing on girls who would bring something to the sorority. Phi sig started dropping girls who weren’t pretty night one. It was obvious to me going through recruitment, when I did they asked me very superficial questions and I wasn’t into it. They have great and fun girls, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that’s how sororities have always been anyways. Like the thing is… people drop out of all the sororities not just DPhiE, but they’re in the spotlight more so they get more hate and other people wanna bring the sorority down out of competition. Let girls pick where they wanna go and where they click!! NSU sorority life is unlike big schools, don’t go in expecting and hoping for that. If that’s what you want switch schools ig, but DPhiE has very very sweet girls, just like every sorority does. If you stay I’m sure you’ll love it as long as you put in time and effort, these girls work hard to pull off their events. You’ll gain great connections with the current girls and with their alumni, they’ve been able to keep great contact with them despite the “cattiness” everyone else complains or talks about. That says a lot if working women still care imo!

I would say phi sigma really went up and started doing well with recruitment. But all these comments I see seem so biased 😂 go with your gut when going through recruitment you’ll find lovely girls in every sorority. DPhiE was top for a really long time, then they switched their recruitment and stopped focusing on looks. On the other hand phi sig dropped girls who didn’t fit their look night one. It’s fine, sororities have always been like that but just keep that in mind I guess. They have amazing girls don’t get me wrong! I think they’ve really grown over the years and I just graduated so I’ve watched the competition between both sororities really grow. As I said, DPhiE also has its ups and downs it’s not perfect, but people drop left and right from EVERY sorority because at NSU it’s not like any other big school. Really think twice before joining. It won’t be all crazy parties like you see at other bigger schools

If you’re looking for a traditional sorority life, you won’t find it at NSU. But Phi Sig is the closest you’ll get to it… they have a lot of really cool, down to earth, fun girls.

Don’t let the fact that their alumni help them pull off a decent recruitment fool you. If you get in, you’ll want to drop out soon after.

As a sophomore, I originally thought this was the sorority I wanted to join but having the opportunity to get to know the girls and see them around campus, at parties/events- yeah no lol they’ve gone down the drain but seem to be able to pull off a decent recruitment.

I am going to be a sophomore this year and I have waited to rush in order to get to know the sororities a little better. These girls are the top of the top, they are dedicated to doing well in school, but definitely know how to have a good time. They make their presence known on campus. I also heard they won a ton of awards. I’m hoping I get selected for this upcoming recruitment!

For the most part everyone is friendly but some of the girls can be cliquey and cause drama. They are pretty inclusive but could honestly do well with giving out fewer bids to filter out some of the more dramatic girls

They don’t really go to events much but they do push their academics and have a good gcat so they must be at least somewhat active on campus. You just don’t see them much
