NIU has ruined Greek life

There has finally been a nationwide crackdown on greek life chapters by college administrators who desire the clean-up of fraternal over-partying and the lowering of greek life deaths due to hazings. The result is students choosing not to join greek organizations where they may be induced to participate in hazardous activities. There is a corresponding decline in the number of available students (re: birth rate decline) for recruitment. Parents often have some say in whether a student will participate in greek life, as co$t$ to be greek can exceed the co$t$ to remain a GDI.

I would hope NIU students give our greek system a fair chance, as any lifelong org is what you make it and our greek system has been around for nearly 80 years.
