All 26 members of the NPC sorority group welcome all qualified young women to attempt joining a sorority. You will NOT be turned away from recruitment. However, you are most wise to keep all your options open as to which home you will accept. Every sorority wants to have friends as well as sisters among the NIU female student population, and we welcome you to immediately inquire about Fall 2018 registration.

Your chance will be nil if you never make the attempt. Twelve sorority groups exist here: six are NPC, one Latina, one a long-standing local and four NPHC. Truly there is a sorority home for you if you have a lot to give and are willing to share it. Strong women stand together and support one another forever, no matter their affiliation!

NIU holds a tradition of accepting plenty of transfer students including second-semester sophomores, juniors and seniors. NIU greeks have always supported and welcomed these transfer students into their memberships. Never be discouraged in your endeavors if the goal is a worthy one.
