is asa really kicked off campus?
by: HTTPHeard rumors that ASA and Sigma Kappa are getting kicked off campus, out of their houses and not returning next year, is that true??

ASA was in fact kicked off and given unrecognized status until 2021 but appealed and made a deal with niu to only receive social probation for those 3 long years (basically accepted a plea bargain lol)

ASA only has social probation attached to their members from the university thru May 15, 2021 (for proof, see the NIU greek affairs website listing groups under suspension/probation/non-recognition status). ASA is listed as Fall 2018 formal recruitment eligible on the main NIU greek website.
Sigma Kappa has been suspended by NIU and thus has no university recognition thru 4-23-21; Sigma Kappa national HQ has thus placed their NIU chapter on dormant status as of June 8, 2018. I am not aware whether there will be women living in the (unlettered) SK house this school year, as the decision to dormant the chapter came a full month after school dismissed (due to the appeals process by SK to NIU taking a good amount of time).
