I was a Sigma Kappa at NIU and although our sorority was torn down by another house, Tri Sigma is absolutely amazing! They have never been anything but kind and welcoming to me and I called some of them my best friends. If you are looking for a genuine, down to earth group of girls, these are them. They are beautiful inside and out and I am so happy to call them my friends. These girls never tear down other houses and are genuinely interested in you as a person, not your looks. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't be friends with girls from another sorority, because my college life wouldn't be the same without them. Even though what happened to our house was tragic and heartbreaking, I hope that you ladies get an amazing house full of passionate women. I was supposed to be planning our recruitment this year, but I truly hope that you ladies kick ass and join girls who are interested in the great sisterhood that you share. Don't let anyone bring you down because you know you will do great with or without their criticism :)

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THE BEHAVIOR ON THIS WEBSITE. we know exactly what house and what petty jealous girls are doing this. ASA is an amazing house that anyone would be lucky to be apart of. We are supposed to be coming together as a greek community and lifting one another up. That's all ASA does, maybe other houses should take notes.

I am an ASA and I wanted to post this for all of the PNMs that may be on here freaking out and worrying about what to expect during recruitment this weekend. ASA has literally made my college experience the best 4 years of my life. I have made life long friends, grown personally and professionally, been given so many leadership opportunities, and have had the time of my life. DO not let internet trolls and jealous people on an anonymous site sway you from following your heart. When I was a freshman I came on here too and read awful things about asa, but I went asa ANYWAY. and guess what??? not a single thing anyone said on here was true. Do not let anyone ruin this experience for you.

To all PNMs being lied to by this "sorority": - They are not a recognized sorority by their nationals nor NIU -They are not "coming back" next semester or next year -They can't "still party" and basically be a sorority or they will only further their discipline sentence. Google "Student organizations not recognized by NIU" and you will see they are not recognized until 2021. You're welcome.
