rushing as a junior
by: ChrissyAre juniors accepted to rush for a sorority? I am transferring as a junior next fall and wanted to rush, will I be turned away because I am a junior?

Please enter recruitment with your mind, eyes and heart wide open. Graciously accept any and every invitation you will receive. Treat others as you want to be treated, and if others are unkind toward you be kind anyway. Nothing turns off sorority women like the sound of a complaining pnm during recruitment. Follow all panhellenic rules and regs to boost your bid chances. Remember you are not joining just one sorority, you are joining a family of panhellenic sisters for a lifetime of opportunities.

I hope you are going thru formal recruitment first, as there is no reason not to and your best home may not be the newest group available. There is still never a guarantee the new group will choose you solely on the basis of your being a junior. Each NPC group colonizes using standards and policies that will not be bent to the whims of pnms who mistakenly believe "anyone" is allowed to join the new group if enough interest is expressed.
