by: PorQueWhats with all the hate on ZTA? I know at a ton of other schools they are a top tier. I haven't had too much interaction with these girls, but what little I did they seemed very sweet. What happened at UNT that makes everyone rank them so low?

As a recent grad, I can tell you that there were some internal issues that happened, and the chapter lost a lot of good girls. Rebuilding means having to take quantity over quality. They have worked incredibly hard on campus and are becoming very known for being classy and well-rounded again. They've started winning a lot of awards and are working their way back.
The hate is mainly because chapters like to keep the bottom chapters down, so they don't feel threatened. There is zero reason ZTA should be considered bottom or even lower middle after the year they've had. The haters post hate to make outsiders think otherwise.

This is pretty much 100% accurate. We got in trouble about 5 or 6 years ago, and have been rebuilding. As a member, I will say we DO hurt for numbers, but it isn't because we're not a good sorority, it's because we're still rebuilding. The girls are great, and we have a ton of fun. Can honestly say I've never been hazed, nor have any of my sisters. If you go through recruitment and a chapter feels like home, that's where you belong. Whether the chapter is big, small, has a good rep or a bad rep.

I was in a sorority this past year at UNT and I haven't heard a single bad thing about ZTA. Me and my sisters have a lot of friends in zeta and if anyone says anything bad about them then they clearly don't go to unt and don't know what they're taking about.
