real advice
by: UNT22
I went through fall recruitment joined a sorority and did that whole thing. I want to give you ladies some real advice and be someone that I wish I would've had.
I joined my chapter and I little bit after invitation I made the decision to drop. Which was my biggest mistake!!! I didn't like the requirements and the rules but now that I do not have it anymore I am very upset about my decision.
Basically what I am saying is give it your best shot. If you open your card today and its not your top choice GO ANYWAY. That house obviously wants you and sees something in you and I'm sure it will still be a great fit.
These next couple of weeks will be a whirlwind but they are fun. Do your best from the start to meet girls in your pledge class, go to the house when you can, meet older girls. and get involved in different activities and events! I made the mistake of thinking I was too good for the house I chose and for picking boys, drinking, and partying over a great experience and now I regret it.
Good luck to all of you!!

if you are on the fence about greek life, stick with it but if you don’t feel that your chapter is where you belong don’t take the chance, you can rush a different chapter in a year but if you go through initiation you’re screwed! Run home and keep an open mind but be candid about where you are making a lifetime commitment y’all
