by: Graduating SeniorAs recruitment gets closer and closer I felt the need to post this. As you embark on this journey ladies I really want you to pay attention to what I am going to say. When deciding on the chapter that truly is going to be your home for the rest of your life remember these things. Winning Homecoming and Greek Week are great accomplishments but that won't last forever. Awards and trophies are important in the moment and while your in college but 30 years from now none of that will matter. How pretty the inside of your house looked or who was "top house" (none of that matters btw" will only be memories. What is going to matter 30 years from now is the friendships you make. So as you go through recruitment in a couple weeks think about this and don't let all of the extras get in the way!! Best of luck to you! I am honestly super jealous I wish I could be a freshman again because it really does by so quick so enjoy every minute :)

Any time someone posts something like this, I always get the feeling it's an adpi trying to defend themselves for sucking but your sisterhood sucks too. You leave sisters alone at events and parties, if you show up at all. You can't even match for Greek Preview or the homecoming parade.

How can you down a sorority like that? I'm in a different sorority (not adpi) that I consider to be ranked top/middle tier in the eyes of others but to me it is top. This senior genuinely cares about these girls about to embark on the best 4 years of their life. The looks of the girls and awards you win DO NOT MATTER in the grand scheme of things. Gah I'm sorry your sorority cares so much about those pointless things. I'm happy where I'm at because of the girls who love and are there for me. Thank you to the senior who wrote this discussion, it's the honest truth. Pick where you belong because of the friendships you make & love you will receive

It's also unfortunate that you honestly never know if someone that comments is actually in a sorority or is really just trying to stir things up. You really can't assume anything that anybody says is true or written by who you might think it is. Awesome post though and I hope y'all have an amazing recruitment as well!

To "get out of here" I actually am not an adpi. For the record though they are an amazing chapter just like all of the other ones at UNT. The thing about getting older is you learn to value more important things. Bringing other sororities down really just makes you look bad in the end. I truly think your greek life experience would be so much better if you just worried about your own chapter and learned to love the rest. They are all unique and thats what makes this process so great. Each girl can truly find a place with girls that have the same values as her. I honestly hate the words "top tier" and "bottom tier". You may win every competition or raise the most money, but the sisterhood your chapter has and how you treat people shows the most. I am not trying to be rude but just give you honest advice. I hope you can learn to not show as much hate towards other chapters and instead focus on bringing positivity to yours. Again best of luck to you PNMs you are going to have the best 4 years of your life!
