gpa

Is a 2.9 GPA as a transfer too low to get a bid from any house? I had a rough first semester of college, but I brought my GPA up tremendously second semester, so I know I can do even better this year. I just don't want to waste my time rushing if everyone is going to drop me for a low GPA.

For transfer students they only mandate that you have a 2.5 to go through the process but some houses like Chi Omega and Delta Gamma will drop girls for grades. Most houses will have what gpa they want their members to have on their websites

I'm in a sorority at UNT and we require a 3.0 for college and 3.5 for high school.

I would say go through recruitment this fall anyway just to get a feel for things. If you don't get into a house that you would like you can always decide not to join a sorority in the fall and wait until spring!
