it depends on the chapter! i've heard kappa is the most expensive an adpi is the cheapest, but idk if that's true. new member semesters are typically the most expensive and i believe are around 1200-2000. after that i think it's typically around 1000 a semester

how do chapters come up with different prices? Don't kappa and ADPi do the same things?

I don't know if you know, but there is a tier system... I lot of girls want to rush kappa because they are considered top hence the higher prices... adpi on the other hand is not and need as many girls as possible= lower prices

I graduated a month ago, and I don't even know I came on here, but it's because of budgets for events (philanthropie, social, etc.) The more money you have, the better events you have and the more events you win. There a lot of competitions for sororities to raise money, whichever sorority raises the most money wins, so all the top houses increase their dues so they more spending money to win everything so more girls want to be in those houses and therefore become top tier, which is why I would suggest joining the most expensive sororities. It's worth it, trust me.

So obviously since the people here have no clue what they're talking about I'll give you the real deal. First off dues are not based on a "tier system," that's stupid. Dues for each sorority are determined by their headquarters/nationals, NOT the university or by popularity. Kappa is the most expensive, then it goes down the line with Pi Phi, ADPi, Zeta etc.. ChiO is actually the least expensive because they have a lodge, not a house.

you know nationals sets due prices on the amount of recruits they report each year. The most "popular" sororities get more girls then nationals raises the prices depending on the chapter. Low ranking sororities often struggle to get new girls so thats why nationals makes the move to lower prices and attract new girls to make sure the chapter survives. This is common and I know truth hurts .. ask the chapter treasurers.
