by: Beej

I'm considering going to UNT and a considering joining a fraternity. I am looking to find out how active the frats are and if greek life at UNT throws parties or if its pretty dull. Let me know, thanks!

Well it use to be great party wise but almost all the best fraternities got put on probation so it took a down turn. Most are not very active with the university but are more active when it comes greek events like intramural s philanthropy events and sorority events. Most fraternities party off campus right now and for the most part keeping low until Fall. Here is the list from the best down when it comes to parties, girls, events, house and pledge quality.

Top

Sigma Chi

Delta Sig

Pike

Upper Mid

ATO

Sig Ep

Theta Chi

Lower Mid

Fiji

Pi Kap

Bottom

Phi Kap

Sigma Nu

Phi Tau

I kind of agree with the person above me's list. Sigma Chis are attractive and have a strong brotherhood but aren't involved on campus at all, they did well in greek week but that's because they just sent their pledges to do all the work. Phi Kap is decently involved and not a bad frat, they shouldn't be bottom.

sigma chi's are very hot, but don't party much since they've been on probation. very nice guys though.
pikes parties are always so much fun and the guys are nice and go out of their way to talk to girls (which I can't say about all fraternities at UNT since most of them sit around and talk to each other at parties instead of girls)
definitely the best 2 fraternities at UNT and I know a lot of girls can agree

Pikes are socially awkward weirdos and sigmachis are douchey frat stereotypes.
