by: PNMI'm a girl and rushing next year. How big a deal is it to know girls in the sorority and to have rec letters? I know we're a little more laid back about it than other schools, but will I not get a bid if I don't know a single girl in a sorority/have no rec letters?

No, it doesn't matter if you know any of the girls in any sorority. Rec letters are not required per say but they are helpful. I would highly recommend it. Definitely get some rec letters for as many chapters as possible. It's not big deal if you don't but at least try.
