sorority recruitment as a sophomore?

I am a current freshman that regrets not rushing this year. I am planning to rush next fall during my sophomore year. I hear a lot of people say that formal recruitment is mainly for freshman. I want to know if it is normal for sophomores to rush? or is it considered "weird?"

Formal isn’t just for freshman, if it’s something you really want to do then go for it! Informal is definitely more chill and it’s definitely more common for sophomores to do informal, but I wouldn’t let that stop you if you’re more interested in formal.
