recommendation letters

How much weight does a letter of recommendation from a alumni carry to get you a bid in a house?
Can it even override a gpa under the minimum (as long as it’s not too far under min.) if the girls really like you?

Most GPA requirements are strict. Unfortunately it does not matter how much the house likes you, they have to let you go if your GPA does not meet the requirement. OU doesn’t really place much weight on recommendation letters. Some sororities might take note of these but most do not really mention them.
