not supposed to talk about parties/drinking?

by: PNM

I am a PNM and honestly thought the houses we visited on Welcome Day were not supposed to bring up parties/drinking. One house that is apparently known for partying brought up the various frats that they associate with and drinking during my round...I honestly didn't know how to respond because I thought this was taboo. Another girl in my Rho Gamma group had the same experience with this house and she felt the same way- confused in how we were supposed to respond. Needless to say, the next day, this house wasn't on my list of 8 (although I had them ranked at 7) and same with the girl in my Rho Gamma group who I saw on Philanthropy day.
We are left wondering in the fact that we both tried to brush off the topic of drinking and change the subject got us crossed off this houses list.

Something maybe other PNM's should consider....

They arent. I would say yes that's why. Or they realized they made a stupid mistake and thought this was the best way to "fix" it.

This is unacceptable! Im so sorry this happened. Please do not let this be a reflection on all of our sororities!

You need to let your rho gamma know asap, they are your counselors. They will handle this situation. This site will not help you. They are not supposed to be talking about that kind of stuff but if they are that only shows you what it will be actually like in the sorority.

I understand why you posted because you want future PNM's to realize that this might happen to them and to be prepared for it...

And I appreciate that you have not named the sorority on this site.

Good luck to you and thank you for sharing your experience
