dues
by: New GirlHey so I was wondering what the dues generally are for sororities at OU. I know sororities with houses are generally more expensive while sororities without houses are not as expensive. Thanks!

I know that it ranges between about 500-900 per semester in every house but your pledge semester in EVERY house will be around 1000 if not more. I'm pretty sure fuzzie is the cheapest sorority and either gamma phi or delta gamma is the most expensive. BUT keep in mind that LIVING in a lot of houses is cheaper than the dorms even after dues so that's something to consider especially if you were planning on living in sophomore year. When you go through recruitment your rho game should have all park numbers for every house. The majority of houses I believe though fall somewhere around 600-700 per semester and about 1000-1200 initiation semester.
If you live in junior year keep in mind that average rent in Athens is about 600/month 12 month lease with about a 50 utility bill so that's about 7800 for the whole year right there not including food. Also you won't pay summer month rent if youre not in Athens if youre living in the house. Living in my sorority house august-April was about 8000 with meals Monday-Friday. I think that's about average but some houses are closer to 9000 I believe. Something to keep in mind.
