is recruitment more difficult for out of state gir
by: pls helpSo i'm an out of state student and i am really interested in rushing. I'm a legacy and I am able to get all the rec letters i need, but i'm worried that being an oos student would cause sororities to consider me less. I know at southern schools (i live in the south) a lot of emphasis is put on who you know, what camp or school you went to, etc and being from oos can definitely hurt your chances in a lot of sororities (regardless of "tier"). Is it the same way at OU?
#2by: You'll be fine
No it honestly might help because it gives you something to talk about that's different from basically 75% of the rushers talking about their life in Cleveland cinci or Cbus. And you won't have bad or good high school relationships following you which could be good or bad. Rec letters can help slightly but they're not emphasized, might get you to round 2 in some houses but that's it.
