What's Hot - Ohio University - OU

Two years ago no one knew dz was even a chapter but they have definitely improved. Surprisingly big partiers and seem to have a lot of socials. The girls have gotten a lot prettier from past years and they’re pretty involved. Beautiful house but also the only one on mill, but greek neighbors never really talk to each other anyway. Raised the most money for their philanthropy but don’t hear about their philanthropy events

Pros: One of the most fun houses to visit during recruitment. Great philanthropy. Girls are always hanging out and having a good time together! They love to party. Cons: They love to party a little too much sometimes. Poor sisterhood. Lots of girls dropped recently. Openly talks badly about other chapters which doesn’t reflect well on them.

Pros: They’ve grown on me a lot this semester! Nice once you get to know them. House is next to two other sororities. Has a lot of socials. Girls seem genuinely close. Cons: Recruitment seems kinda superficial. Has a reputation for being airheads. House layout is terrible, especially for recruitment. Can’t hear yourself think. Blonde.

Pros: Great house. Huge member class last fall. Super friendly and actually voted most friendly sorority on campus this year. Has a lot of socials with frats. Also offers a lot of programming for members. Very wholesome, well-rounded looking chapter. Have never met a DZ I didn’t like. Also was “most improved chapter of the year”, which was well deserved. Diverse group. Cons: sisterhood is either really strong or really bad, no in between with them. Just hit or miss. Location is a little less convenient than some other houses on campus but not a big deal. Has had some issues with exec this year.

Pros: house is really cool. Girls seem genuinely nice, from an outside perspective at least. Cons: EVERYTHING costs money. Fees for literally everything under the sun, very little included in actual dues. Their exec is not good, especially regarding finance. Lots of ppl dropped this semester due to poor leadership. Awkward during recruitment. Reputation for being sloppy.

Pros: Seems like a fun chapter to be in and girls seem to love each other. Lots of socials and parties. Very pretty girls. Located between a frat and sorority house. Cons: kinda polarizing during recruitment. Ppl loved them or hated them. Reputation for recruiting based on looks, then smarts rather than the other way around. Don’t see much about their philanthropy. Gives high school energy. House feels dated.

Pros: pretty house. Great location. Seems to have great exec leadership and advisors. Highest average GPA for spring semester. Seems to have a fair bit of socials/mixers. Really nice girls and pretty approachable. Always seem like they’re having fun! Cons: don’t hear a lot about them. Kinda forgotten about. Have heard rumors about drinking in the house, which is against Panhellenic rules.

Pros: ranked high by almost everyone during recruitment. Huge chapter. House is in a great location. Seems to do a lot of philanthropy events and has a lot of really dedicated girls. Highest GPA requirement. Cons: have heard rumors saying they’re all about the $$$, seems a little fake. They love out of state girls bc $$$ and they try to pick girls with easy majors, allegedly. They are usually orange. Seems like they aren’t very involved on campus outside of their chapter. Seem like entitled airheads. Very much give off the “you’re either with us or against us” vibe.

Pros: Pretty diverse group of women. Lots of leaders in diff campus orgs. More involved in philanthropy this semester, which was great to see. Super nice house, literally huge. Members seem dedicated. Some of the nicest and most funny ppl on campus. Good retention. Everybody knows everybody, seem close. Cons: small chapter size. Poor recruitment numbers, hoping to see them improve. Don’t hear a lot about them but sometimes no news is good news. Not super active on the social scene, at least with frats.

Girls in the top sororities are nicer than them and they’re bottom tier. will makeup lies about you, have a terrible sisterhood, barely any events, and the inside of the new house sucks. Glad i dropped when i did.
