spring fraternity rush

Ok so the way informal rush works (officially) sets aside about a week and a half where each fraternity hosts rush events of their choosing. Every fraternity participates and every fraternity's rush week is different, reflecting each chapter's personality. Events might include poker and cigars, cook outs at the house, mostly fun, casual events with the goal of getting to know rushees. You have to be personally invited to these events so it's best if you already know one or two guys in the fraternities you're looking at but if not most organizations have a website or facebook page that should list the recruitment chairman's or president's numbers who I'm sure would to happy to point you in the right direction. Always keep an open mind and keep your options open, but it helps to have an idea of which groups you want to look at coming in to the process.
