what do i need to have prepared?
by: RusherHi! I'm planning on rushing my first semester at state (fall 2015). I know at some schools the girls have to come in with tons of reccomendation letters or be a legacy to even be considered for a bid. Is that something you see at state? As a moderately attractive, intelligent, and outgoing girl I don't know where I stand and if I should have anything prepared.

I know at big SEC schools recs are required for every sorority but that's not how it is at State. Obviously it doesn't hurt to have a recommendation, but you in no way need one to get into any sorority here. Most girls don't have recks! Just be yourself and you should have no problem finding the right fit for you!

I even know people with legacies that don't get in. The biggest thing you can do to prepare is make sure you have a good list of extracurriculars for your application. Be honest, but feel free to brag about how great you are in your app, we like seeing girls who will add to our sorority. And make sure you have a good headshot. (Senior pics are great!)
