rushing as a junior
by: Advice?
I have regretted not rushing the past two years of college and I have finally decided I really want to be a part of a sorority.
I understand my experience will be different... but I am wondering to what extent being a junior will affect things?
Will it be harder to get a bid to a good house? Will I feel out of place with my PC because nobody else will be my age? I would love annnny advice on the subject. Thanks!

There is an upperclassman quota. So State makes sure older girls get in, but the bulk of those girls are sophomores.
If you have a good gpa most of the sororities will considered you. Some older girls don't get in because their gpas aren't good enough, it has to be at least above the sorority requirement, but needs to be way above to get into some of them.
You are more likely to go to a mid tier house. You should definitely to do recommendations for all the houses you are really interested, even though they aren't necessary at State.

There typically won't be many upperclassmen in new pledge classes, mostly sophomores if there are. However, there can be a few juniors in the mix. Don't worry too much about your class rank - and more about clicking well with the girls in that particular sorority. If you're friendly, fit in well, etc the age difference won't necessarily keep you from a bid.
