Why are some sororities not in Greek village

I’m pretty much committed to nc state next year go wolfpack!! But I was wondering why there are some sororities that have houses outside of the regular Greek village?

There’s 2 that are not in Greek Village. Alpha Xi Delta is brand new to campus this year so they haven’t gotten a house at all yet. Chi Omega is in Greek Way with some fraternities, but they’ll move over to Greek village within the next 5ish years

Because they couldn’t afford to bid on a house in an earlier phase of construction

Pi Beta Phi despite being on campus for nearly 2 decades has yet to build a new house in village. They lack financial resources both locally and nationally to do so.
