Spring 2021 Recriitment

by: Pack Mom

Helicopter Mom here. My daughter rushed this fall, but dropped out before the 3rd round. She’s been around Greek life her all life as I’m still active in my sorority and until recruitment wanted to be in a sorority. She’s a pretty, smart girl, however, her video was not that great and I think she was just intimidated by the whole process. She did get a phone call from one sorority on Bid Day to make sure she was still interested for spring recruitment (is that normal?) and offered an open bid from another sorority that after some thought, she turned down. Any advice to make spring recruitment more successful?

GTFO Greek rank your daughter is in college let her make her own choices and decisions, people are only going to think if her as weird if she has a mom this involved.

Tell her to be less nervous. As an active member of a sorority were nervous too! Getting a call about spring recruitment isn’t unnormal a chapter may be interested. Also most chapters didn’t fill quota this rush so there are tons of spots for spring. If she doesn’t drop the process she should get a bid somewhere. As an alumni if we have the chapter at state have one of your sisters write her a rec letter.
