worst rush experience

Everything about Zeta.

Formal rush is really rough. Day one you spend hours talking to 10 different chapters and you only talk to like one or two girls from each for a few minutes. Some chapters are really intimidating on this day and sit you in a chair and kneel in front of you while you talk. Some are a mess and bump out 3 or 4 girls during this short time and are all jumbled in a small room. Then you decide on two you don’t like. However majority of the time you’re still going to go back to those two and sometimes you might end up in one of them. Most girls do not have a full schedule on day 2. Do not be discouraged, why would you want to be in a chapter that doesn’t want you? The process definitely works it’s just a rough process. No matter what chapter you end up in you’re gonna meet a lot of people and get a lot of experiences and opportunities. Perseverance is a great skill to have post college and if you can get through sorority recruitment and stick with the sorority you end up with, you can do anything.

delta zeta - couldn't hold a conversation and seemed really awkward which made it uncomfortable

zeta- the girl was very fake looking with heavy makeup and couldn’t hold a convo
Delta gamma- this girl I was talking to on philanthropy day told me she couldn’t wait for me to join dg and she wanted to be my big, it was kinda creepy and I didn’t go DG because of her
theta- the girl I was talking to on the first day kept biting her nails it was kinda nasty

no matter what there's gonna be girls in every sorority you don't vibe with and when you can only talk to one or two in each round there's a chance of that happening. One bad rush experience with one sorority doesn't define the sorority, not even close. Go in it with an open mind don't expect anything good or bad, be yourself and everything will be fine.

I had the worst experience with pi phi all of rush. Day one I talked to like 5 girls in the little amount of time we had and they were all weird. They were one of the ones I tried dropping. Then day 2 and day 3 I had the same girl who made it sound like she didn’t even like being in pi phi and she barely talked at all. I like the pi phis I know now but during recruitment they sucked

personally it was sigma kappa, girl could not hold a conversation and honestly acted like she was xanned out. kkg was also bad because the girl just seemed waaaaaay too enthusiastic it was kinda creepy. !!! but also important to keep in mind (for pnms reading this) that one girl shouldn’t dictate how you feel about a chapter there’s always gonna be somebody you don’t like. of course 1 on 1 interactions do matter somewhat but focus on paying attention to the chapter as a whole. that was just my personal experience
