What are some things I should know about the greek life before rushing a fraternity in the fall?

1. Tier absolutely matters. People are very set in who they'll associate with.
2. Parties are hard to get into for guys before rush - you'll want to bring a group of hot girls with you and get on the list beforehand. But this is important for meeting actives.
3. Rush is the only way to have a social life

Don't read much into this site. Gauge from rush and girls which fraternities are actually liked.

make connections. go out to parties. see which ones you like. make sure to go to formal rush.

Only thing you need to know, never pay any attention to this site. Go through rush and find a group that you like to be around and won't regret joining. Greek life is an excellent experience that I don't regret a bit but I only enjoy it because I found the right group.
