how to pick a fraternity on bid day
by: For RusheesSeeing as bid day is upon us, I thought I would give my advice to any rushees that happen to read this before signing today. I remember my bid day last year and how excited I was to sign. Fortunately, I had been told by my top 2 that I had bids already, so I wasn't as nervous as I'm sure some of you are. While both fraternities were big, I felt they were definitely different, both with different appealing perspectives. Most people would have said I'm an idiot for turning down one of the bids, but at the end of the day, you simply have to choose where you feel at home. Just imagine going to the house on a Tuesday and chilling with the other brothers, which one seems more enjoyable? Sure, some houses have better parties and you can look at the general lists on here to tell which do (though remember this is just a website, there's a lot of bias) but for actual members the partying is just a small part of it. Ask yourself, who do you really feel comfortable with? And made a decision based on that. Good luck to everyone today and realize you are about to make the best decision of your life.
