North Carolina State University - NCSU Greek Life Reviews

Greek Life here is unique because parties are not why most people come to State. As a result a majority of greeks are good students with lots of interests outside of greek life. A below average college bar scene allows house parties to thrive, but the cops keep them in check more than we all would like. As the new houses come up the experience will get even better, but it's going to be up to the organizations to figure out how to continue to make it affordable (One of the best parts about Greek Life here IMO). There is a lot fo diversity in the different types of people that go greek here, allowing anyone who wants to, to find somewhere they fit.

Houses are getting better and better, and most are about to have insane mansions. Very fun stuff socially, but very exclusive for the top frats/soroties. It sucks that cops are everywhere

I transferred from another university and state’s Greek life is insane. The houses on Greek row are small mansions. Frats don’t have the chefs and amenities that sororities do but we don’t reallly want all of that. At State, college life is Greek.

Greek Life here is more laid back, you'll see a lot of them involved in everything. Each sorority and fraternity has a different feel to it if you actually pay attention. Most greeks here hang out with non greeks too. Rush is pretty stressful because it seems like theres only a few good ones on each side until you see that they're all pretty good, and most of them are friendly. Give it a try if you're interested. A good way to network

Greek Life at state has been good, however it is slowly dying. The new mansions are helping it as a whole, but like many other universities across the nation right now, state is imposing harsher and harsher regulations that prevent Greek Life from truly thriving. With the speed at which we lose chapters at state increasing, it’s not long before we are left with a select few chapters that aren’t able to have any fun like we used to.

Close knit Greek community. Always someone to hang out with and parties to go to. The mansions have made an impact on the housing. Great girls and guys in all the frats and sororities. See them everywhere on campus and they are in leadership roles. Join, you won’t be disappointed.
