Help me please demystify the sororities!
by: pnmI know that often a lot of times girls in srats will group together based off of personality traits/ interests and then they develop reputations that perpetuate it further, but I really know nothing about sororities at NYU so I was wondering if someone could shed some light on maybe what each sorority is about/ what the girls are like? I'm a rising sophomore and am considering rush but worried I won't find my niche anywhere. Thanks ladies + lots of love <3

make your own decisions about joining, as a POC member of a sorority I have had a fulfilling time being in one and I would recommend it. this website is not the place to search for this answer though, especially cause there’s some strange person who’s making it their mission to go on every thread and denigrate the entire system.

You call me strange, yet you feel the urge to go around announcing what your skin color is before making any sort of statement that bears NO relevance to the question or topic at all. Imagine having to demote yourself to nothing more than a made-up acronym describing your skin color before offering your opinion on anything... why exactly? To try to convince people that what you say is valid because you're a "POC", instead of using any instrinsic values you might have? As a white person participating in a conversation on the internet, I find this extremely non-sensical, and some weird-ass cult $hit that's only done by people who are incredibly strange indeed.
