Can someone explain what makes AST worse than Delta Gamma or Pi Phi? I was going to rush one during spring but decided to wait until things are in-person in the fall... I really liked AST but now I'm seeing everyone saying that they're bad and I didn't get that vibe from Club Fest and their IG sooooo I'm confused

^No org at NYU is bad. Its 2021, lets build each other up. Yes AST, PiPhi, and Dg are considered the "lower" sororities but they each have social, ambitious women that anyone would be lucky to know. Go where you feel most at home.

piphi is much closer to dg than kkg/zeta but agreed no soritity here is bad and saying the lower tier is "famously known" as bad is not true

Don't base your opinions on GR. If you vibe with the girls, go for it. AST is a great group. I'm in another house but have a few friends in AST and they love their house.

They didn’t. This whole thread was made by kappas they’re self ranking. Everyone knows that they’re mid tier and share it w pi phi. Honestly any org that did recruitment this semester is not top so yea that includes kappa

Yes...I def thought it was weird that Kappa was so high/number one in ranking on the website. No disrespect towards them, but in person they were sooo different

This is all wrong lol. DPhiE above ZTA, KKG above PiPhi, DG above AST and likely tied with PiPhi. Don’t think anyone on campus would disagree.

This is y I’m dropping Greek life. You are all egotistical and think buying ur way into a group of friends sets ur status as a hot girl. Guess what? You’re ALL pathetic and got scammed into paying $600 for zoom meetings this year. Honestly not worth the heartache and feelings being hurt over rankings 🖕

honestly reading through these comments always makes me ask why people who aren’t in Greek Life, who dropped, disassociated or who are potential/new members always come on here to talk and create drama...someone saying “you paid $600 to be online”, like yes, yes we did. We want to be with our sisters because we love each other, genuinely have friends in all the other orgs, and we do love our philanthropies- you’d be surprised how much money each org ends up raising for their causes. Why do people who aren’t involved in Greek life feel the need to even come on here?

annnnnnndddd I hate hearing “oh new members come on here to see what the orgs are like” LMAO we all know that meeting any of these orgs in person is way better because you can vibe with them and actually see who you feel comfy with. I’ve literally heard potential members come on here to “see what each org is like”, and either leave a nasty comment on an individual org’s page OR create chaos on the discussion board 🙄

Dg and AST are famously known as the bad orgs. Pi phi is usually tiered w kappa but again take this w a grain of salt bc I guess it’s changing again.
