unrealistic expectations about sorority life

this is a reminder that you can have an empowering, supportive, loving, fantastic sorority experience even if it isn't 100% perfect or exactly what you imagined it would be. you don't have to be friends with every single one of your sisters, you don't have to be included in every single social plan from your very first day in your chapter, you don't have to fit the stereotype of a "typical" girl from your chapter, you don't have to match the "vibe" of the rest of your chapter. your sorority experience doesn't need to be absolutely flawless for it to be worthwhile. some people really do have a perfect time in greek life but a lot of people don't. if you keep holding onto your unrealistic expectations, you'll never be able to enjoy your sorority experience for what it is in reality.
