Who has the closest sisterhood?

I’m just being entirely honest on here to help you out. There are a couple orgs that I know have had some internal issues or at least have had some in the past. Aephi has the most disjointed sisterhood and I’ve heard of some issues within Kappa as well. I’ve heard of them having a weak exec and that causing problems. I know this bc I have friends in each org and that’s their experience but it might not be everyone’s. I’m sure every org has some issues

TBH - every organization has cliques. It's impossible not to b/c they groups are fairly large. Give your sorority a chance to find YOUR clique and be the change you want to see. Even in supposedly non-cliquey chapters, you will find the small group of women you find to be kindred spirits. It's just natural. Hopefully those small groups don't exclude others - it's just easier to feel at home with a handful v. 100 women. Hang in there. You will find unity in your letters, even when leadership doesn't seem great at all times or if there are a handful of women you clash with (has there ever even been a friend group that didn't have a few that agitate every once in a while)? No one will be mad at you for initiating contact & efforts to become part of & strengthen the community. You got this!!!

sisterhood will look different in every org. but every org has it for sure. it’s hard to say which one is the closest because appearances don’t always mean there’s a strong sisterhood and one member’s experience doesn’t relate to all. I would just say try to reach out to other new members and active sisters. I’m sure someone is feeling the same as you.

Dphie took 5 juniors this year. I don’t think it matters what grade ur in. But all the sororities have good sisterhoods please take this comment with a grain of salt

I’ve actually heard that both zta and Dphie have weak sisterhoods. Especially deeph

Zeta and Dphie actually have the strongest sisterhoods. Being in the community and knowing many girls in many orgs, these two don’t have any internal drama. Zeta also took a few juniors I’m p sure and have in the past. Good luck!

Are you kidding? Deeph has so much drama bro. Where do I even begin with that, some girls might be close but for the most part it’s pretty cliquey

Dphie has an amazing sisterhood and this is my 4th year. There are times when I am caught up in my major (its intense and that’s all on me ) but when I meet up with sisters it’s like coming home .

It’s so funny how people bash sisterhoods they don’t even know anything about. dphie has a strong sisterhood. Just like every sorority. Grow up

reach out to a sister who was really involved during recruitment! they will be so so flattered that you chose them to reach out to. Also, reach out to girls in your pledge class. they will also be so flattered! think about how you would feel if someone reached out to you. everyone is joining these orgs to make friends. everyone wants to make friends just as much as you, so just reach out (:

Thank you so much for being honest, I figured I would get some backlash. But this is just how I feel. I know it’s only the first week but kappa talked so much about their sisterhood during recruitment and now it just seems cliquey and disconnected and I’m really disheartened. My roommate is an active in dphie and she said the same about them. I don’t know what to do Or where to go to make friends
