is kappa social? and what is their reputation?

hi friends! so i know we're not supposed to talk about partying during rush but i heard that kappa doesn't really go to any of the fraternity parties or other sororities parties. i've gone to all their events and pref nights so they're one of my top picks but if i get a bid i want to know exactly what i'm getting into. thoughts on this and what the rest of greek life/nyu feels like their reputation is? also if any of the other pnms have good/bad interactions w kappa i'd love to hear since through zoom we can't read the room and feel the vibes of the sorority members as a whole.

Every org parties to an extent but you’re right, kappa is not a big one. They’re not top three and aren’t first to be invited to open parties like the top tier orgs, but a few somehow make it to them. Either way, anyone who wants to party can make it happen, so don’t use that as criteria. Just bc kappa doesn’t party doesn’t mean u can’t be in kappa and still party if you seek it out, you may just have to try a bit harder to be invited.

Depends on how many people they are letting into the party lol. Usually not tho. Some people in greek life can’t even get in just bc apartments are small and predetermined people get in first. But this won’t be an issue for a while sorry to say. We’re living in a pandemic girls.... you shouldn’t be thinking about partying because that is not happening any time soon.

@curious yeah I mean all ppl can go to these parties frats typically just prioritize the top tier orgs esp with the fact that they all live in limited space apartments and town houses. A frat doesn’t determine who’s fun and who isn’t though trust me haha. I wouldn’t be bummed if I wasn’t allowed into these things..
