curious about aephi diversity? rly like them

hi! so i only have one org inviting me back consistently for events and it's aephi. i absolutely love their vibe and all the fundraising they do. i see a lot of toxic stuff tho (& hear a lot) about how "white" aephi is and how un diverse they are which is pre against who i am as a person and a person of colour especially. also some people hv made me feel they just invited me back as a token poc and that seems harsh. thoughts?? how is the diversity?? don't want to go to pref if that's really how it is but that seems too judgemental for ppl to say w/o knowing the situation

I totally understand your concern and I agree that Aephi’s lack of diversity is problematic. However, it really seems like they’re making an effort to be more inclusive. One of the girls in aephi I spoke to talked about how they want to create an environment that is inclusive to everyone and are working to educate themselves and the chapter on diversity and inclusivity. I don’t think they’d keep inviting you back if they weren’t truly interested in you

she said also and then nothing else so maybe her post got cut off and she meant bid day instead of pref or something?
but yeah they already had their pref so if she meant pref people need to stop being toxic on this it literally ended.
