How to choose a sorority??

by: PNM

I'm just wondering how you all would choose between AST and AEPhi—I'd be happy to get a bid from either, but just trying to think ahead in case I have to choose since they are so different!

AST
pros: penthouse (not a dealbreaker though), diverse
cons: not as strong alum network, lower tier

AEPhi
pros: strong alum network, higher tier
cons: not as diverse (from what I've seen, but also NYU itself is very diverse)

both are really involved in nydm! aephi raises an insane amount of money and ast always has the most people there throughout the whole day

both would be lucky to have you! choose whoever you vibe with the most

Figure out what you value the most of the things you know, but mostly rely on your experience in the room and which felt more like somewhere you want to spend 2-4 years. :)

I have friends in both! Stereotypes only go so far. Join whichever org had women you talked to who you would like to be your sisters. Everyone else will become your Panhellenic sister :)

happy that this year leveled out all the bs of rooms and looks enough that people can compare "top" and "bottom" house seriously. pnms should go for the vibes they fit with the most

Both are wonderful orgs with really awesome girls. I think the best way to decide is to think about what qualities are most important to you are and then which chapter better fits those qualities. Hope this helps! :)

it speaks volumes that no one from either org has come on here to bash the other!

I was invited to all events by AST except philanthropy, all events by AEPhi except pref!
