Drinking with new members?

I’ve heard that it’s against the rules for actives to drink with new members before initiation but that some still do it anyway..which sororities drink with their new members?? Isn’t that technically “hazing” but NYU’s standards?

Last year, Dphie and pi phi did for sure. Others may have too but just did a better job of hiding it

I saw every sorority go out with their new members before initiation. Mostly all of them do like this post says others hide it better

dphie did not at all...as someone who was in last year's nm class, there was really strict rules about that, but it definitely bonds you to the other new members and it goes by quickly

most orgs just keep it under the table i think but as far as i know its not a big deal as long as being comfortable and safety is clearly expressed. no one wants to make new members feel pressured
