by: spilling teai’m an active in a "lower tier" sorority and i gotta say it’s rude and hurtful when girls come into our room and make it obvious that they only want a top sorority. we can absolutely tell that you’re intentionally being curt and unengaging because you think you’re better or cooler than us. the greek community is small and people talk, the "top" sororities you want so bad might just hear about how disrespectful and rude you were. we put a lot of effort into recruitment, and the least you could do is respect our time and make the conversation as painless as possible, even if you don’t want to join our chapter.

I can’t understand why anyone would go into recruitment with such a closed mind! Even if you have ideas of what you want going in (although you should try your best not to) how can you close yourself off to finding somewhere you truly fit in? If your conversations are good and you clicked with girls, that should be it... sadly not that way a lot of the time!
