ast vs dg

dg is still pretty new so they're still establishing a presence on campus, whereas ast has more history, resources, and infrastructure in the area. dg is nationally one of the most prominent organizations and has a really great focus on philanthropy (hence dg = do good). ast appears to have a slightly more cohesive sisterhood simply because they've been on campus for longer, but dg is getting stronger by the year. they definitely have different vibes but neither is better or worse than the other!

AST is more selective in recruitment aka has less awkward girls and has a stronger sisterhood. More attractive girls in AST too by a long shot. No hate on DG that’s just how it be especially cuz DG is such a new sorority

I wouldn’t say girls in DG are “awkward” or “unattractive” like another commenter lol. Sometimes they can be a bit shyer but they’re all sweet girls! Get to know them better and they all are pretty nice. I know their dues are pretty high so I feel like that’s a drawback for them. They are a huge organization nationally though and have a much bigger alumni base if that’s something you’re looking for!

AST is probably the most diverse org on campus, and in my experience they’ve all been really nice and cool to talk to! I’d say they go out more than girls in DG but that’s just anecdotal. Super involved in philanthropy (especially NYDM). They seem to have a pretty close sisterhood but you can never tell from the outside!

id say dg they seem sincere. but like give both a shot and decide on your own!!!
