greek life low down

Sorry to break it to you guys, but greek life here is a joke. Went and rushed the "big" 3 here Zeta, SigEP, and PIKA. Big waste of my time and I urge you to stay away. I've fratted in the SEC for the past 2 years, so I think you can trust my judgement.
Fraternities here are basically a GDI get together club. At any real college, these kids would be in either the math club or young democrats. Probably both. Basically all hipsters or tools who think they're frat just by wearing vineyard vines. Whats even worse are the sweatshirts with the huge greek letters. You can't get less frat than that.
Traditional frat-house ragers don't exist here and the social scene is just hitting up the local bar. Why do you think rush week is filled with lame ass events like bowling and fifa instead of parties all week?

If you want to hang out with GDIs join a fraternity here. If you've dreamed about being a real frat star since you were 10, you're out of luck. You can a. just be TFTC b. go to another school, or c. start a new fraternity here.

I'm a brother of one of the miami triads that doesn't have a chapter here (thank god), why would I try to get a bid? Just wanted to check out greek life here and posted my opinions. When you've experienced greek life throughout the sec, come back and tell me I'm wrong. Just trying to say that you guys at NYU are a joke and are really misrepresenting traditional greek values.

OP is a joke. Talking about "misrepresenting traditional Greek values" while ragging on fraternities, calling people douche bags, etc. The irony is sickening.
Learn a thing or two about being a gentleman before trying to preach about values . You obviously don't have any. If you did, you'd be a bit more tactful and have a touch more class when it comes to discussing the Greek community (at any school).

Do you even go here???? You must be a troll because literally no one calls Zeta Psi and PIKE "Zeta" and "PIKA." And if you were going to be so immature as to resort to stereotypes, you could've at least attempted to be more accurate because PIKE brothers are literally the FAAAAAAAARTHEST thing from hipsters imaginable. Have fun at your "real college" because you definitely aren't an NYU student...
