Why are they considered so bad here? Is it normal for the new sorority to be bottom house? Just wondering because they're so good nationwide.

Yes, it is normal for the new chapter to be considered bottom tier. They have to get their bearings and decide what they are going to be. But DG has filled a need and a niche at NYU and is going to be just fine. As soon as the rest of Greek Life stops resisting & realizes we are all better when we are all strong and supportive, the better.

I think the "need" and "niche" they filled is that the amount of girls interested in joining a sorority here has grown and our community needed another chapter to give more girls a chance to join one.
