spring rush

by:

So I'm a sophomore who had to miss out on formal rush but I really want to join a sorority. I know that this is realistically my last year to join one of the sororities I like. What are the chances that some of the other sororities do spring rush besides AST and DG who did it last year? I'm hoping for Aephi, dphie, or zta lol

Given aephi, dphie, and zta are the top sororities and therefore the most wanted during rush, they most likely won't have it. I believe most sororities reached quota this year, especially those three. We won't know for sure though until winter. Honestly, I'd say just see who does spring and even if it's not the above sororities, at least check it out. After that, you decide if you really don't want them and if you don't, there's no harm in at least trying to rush as a junior. Yeah the odds will be against you when it comes to the top sororities since they like to take freshmen and sophomores but if they really like you, they may make an exception.

Those sororitys usually don't do spring rush because they're so popular and fill their quotas fast but the rush #s have been high in previous years. I think it was something like 650 girls rushed last fall and this year was only like 480- not to mention how many dropped during. So if there's a year for those sororitys to do spring it would be next year for sure so you never know tbh

No, not really. They mostly take freshmen and sophomores. There are exceptions, of course, but for the most part the answer is no.

Also remember that not many juniors rush to begin with so junior new member numbers will always be low
